This "Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt" was so much fun, and the girls had a BLAST. All I did was write a list of things I wanted them to find around the neighborhood (i.e: grass, rocks, a yellow flower, clouds, grass, etc.) on a piece of construction paper and placed it in a gallon size bag. Then I gave them their own sandwich size bag to put all the items they found inside.
I love being outside and I truly believe you learn so much more being out in nature. While on the scavenger hunt, we learn about colors, animals, nature. When we got back inside the house, I had them take all the contents out their bags and we had a group discussion about everything they found and we checked them off our list.
